Interim Clerk/RFO’s resignation
/in Public Notices & Latest News /by Clerk18 September 2025
Re: Resignation from the position of Interim Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer to Stanion Parish Council
Dear Cllr McCourt
With regret, I must tender my resignation as Interim Clerk/RFO to the Council. I am proud of my work guiding the Council through its recovery from the failures of previous years, particularly 2021/22. I also value the appreciation, co-operation and respect of the members along with the positive feedback from regular attendees at meetings.
After reading the outcome of challenges to the 2023/24 accounts along with the latest complaint from what is a tiny minority of Stanion residents, I now believe that standing up to the criticism has meant that everything I would be required to do on the Council’s behalf would always be regarded as negative in their opinion and therefore would only hinder rather than help the Council. I am saddened that despite my 21 years of experience and acquired knowledge, I have been unable to protect the Council from the protracted attacks by this very small minority of residents.
I would like to thank the Council for giving me the opportunity to serve. I am particularly grateful to you for your co-operation and support during what has been a challenging time for everyone involved with Stanion Parish Council.
I confirm that my last working day will be Friday 17 October 2025.
Yours sincerely
H. Hoier

Extension of Piling Works and Completion of Piling Works
/in Public Notices & Latest News /by ClerkBy way of a progress update from TSL, 3945 piles have been completed at the Nike development to date; we now have 570 piles left to complete. Based on the progress of 30 piles per day, TSL anticipate completing this phase of work by December 13th, provided we do not meet any unexpected obstacles in the ground.
Both GLP and TSL are aware of the impact of the disturbance this causes to the residents of Stanion and would like to extend our apologies once again.
